Michael Aros - Real Estate Agent
For 14 years I've been creating solutions, negotiating happiness, giving expert advice to folks about achieving their real estate goals. So what makes me different? I came to this profession having honed my skills (negotiation, communication, contract analysis, organization) in the highly demanding State Law Enforcement field. I seriously doubt any other professional has the credentials, experience and character that works so well for my clients.
Two very distinct traits I take pride in: I'm a student of my profession constantly reading, studying, getting coached and practicing to become better, improving and innovation. I work in complete honesty, candor and at the highest of ethical practice not just so I can boast, but to keep my clients well informed such that they avoid any future problems, including litigation. You will see from my testimonials I'm patient, listen well, do not push, believe in truth sometimes delivered with tough love, have fun and enjoy what I do.
I take time to get to know my clients, obtain a crystal clear idea of what they want, how they want to live in their home, features as well as costs. Marketing research has detailed 14 different values we use in choosing important purchases. My process finds your top three and if your a couple, they will be different. From there I know how to proceed when finding homes for buyers. For sellers, same thing, how do we use these to sell their home? Its a higher level of psychology in the sale or purchase of a home that leads to greater satisfaction. It only works when we communicate freely, to put me and my associates to work for you.
Currently, Married, three boys, two of whom are adults and on their own and the third in Portola High School. We are an Orange County family, where we take pride in serving our local community in any way we can. I stay a student of my career in Real Estate, continuously learning to "sharpen the saw", keep ahead of the curve.
Let me listen to where you want to go with your real estate opportunities and together we will make it work out the way you want.
My very first real estate transaction was a $3.3 million home sale in Crystal Cove.

Raised in North Orange County, La Habra Heights, surrounded by equestrians. My father was a horseman, rode all his life and we did as well (brother and sister). Learned hard work, and to appreciate the men who worked everyday in construction, especially plastering to provide for their families. Every summer the "boss's son" was put on the job and I was fair game for every tough dirty job. I had to do it in order to earn their respect. In the end many were fond of my Dad and came to accept me as one of them.
I went to college, continued that work in summers, while studying for four years at Loyola University (now LMU). I studied, made honor rolls, rowed on the crew team for a year, become an avid surfer, traveled to Mexico many times to surf the cold waters. Following graduating with a BA in Psychology, I worked at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica for a year, then went on to graduate school at Cal State LA where I finished a Master's Program in Community Psychology. I did five years in clinical work with Orange County Mental health and moved onto other things where my skills were better used.
After 27 years in State Law Enforcement, I retired and obtained my RE Brokers' license, as had my mother. She always wanted me to do so but only near the end of her life did she enjoy my getting licensed. That was 2003 and I haven't looked back. Unlike many of my colleagues, I researched companies and chose First Team I did so for the same reasons you should. They have, by far, the best resources for helping consumers achieve their goals beyond their expectations. Other brokers tried to entice me with 100% of my commission, or signing bonuses or special office space. Nope, that may serve me but not my clients. Hence, I've stuck with First Team for 14 years, while so many I've known have gone elsewhere.
I take time to learn about you, your family, whatever you believe is important for me to know. I have brought innovation to this business and not just in our brokerage. Here's and example: after looking at the crappy photos agents took and seeing the consumer finally get the MLS information in their hands, not kept by agents, I recognized the power of professional photography and used it exclusively for my listings. Yes, now all my competition must use pro photographers. See, I helped the real estate consumer and helped to create a cottage industry! Lets talk, get to know one another, that's how I can best work with people. I still enjoy the back and forth, the search, the hunt, the negotiations, the closings and giving you keys or a check, or both. It's goose bumps.
